Beat IT! from developer MonsuneMoon is the videogame interpretation of Bop It!, a “Simon Says” type toy that kinda took the world by storm a couple of years ago.
It doesn’t do anything new and it doesn’t do everything right and it is nowhere near as fun as the real thing.

What is it with folks and dimensions? Why is it that some people feel the need to add half a D here and there or even in some cases add an extra D for good measure? You can’t have 2.5d, it’s a nonsense. Equally, no matter what Melbourne House taught you as a kid, you [...]

Every couple of years I go Sokoban-mad and spend an inordinate amount of time addicted to whatever Sokoban game I can dredge up. Were this one of those times, I think I’d be in heaven. It isn’t, though, so I’m currently reacting the same way the general population likely does: “Meh.”
Which isn’t to say that [...]

Things that wot which make me fearful of a game number #38980: “You must learn the controls in order to proceed”.
Let’s be up front here chaps, there’s only one thing this screams at the player. “I’ve made a complete hash up of the control system”. And yes, it gives me the fear whenever I see [...]
