There’s been a bit of a dispute going on in the dark underbelly of xnPlay Towers (for those not in the know the dark underbelly is where we keep the pies) over Cavemen Vs Aliens. Well, I say dispute it’s not really much of a dispute per se more a discussion on the levels of [...]

Avast! A horde o’ buccanneer dogs be comin’ t’ pillage yer tranquil village …o’ pirates. Or t’ steal yer ships. Or be it t’ get away on the’r own ships? Whatere the reason, ye’d best be killin’ them or ’tis Davy Jones’ locker fer ye!
No, I really can’t sustain that dialect for the entire review. [...]

Battle Bubbles describes itself as a multiplayer strategy game mixed with an arcade game, with ‘cool bubble physics’. As much as cool bubble physics makes me think of beer, Battle Bubbles contains no trace of alcohol, sadly. What it does contain is some manic multiplayer action.
The main idea behind the game is that you control [...]

Bored Meeting from developer Steven Jones is essentially just a re-skinned ChuChu Rocket! and there is so little in the trial to really justify a proper review, I mean you can not change ANY options at all, you are just stuck with the default everything.
Therefore I will just say that this is boring (hence the [...]

Guess who’s back? Tower Defence is back. Again. Tell a friend.
NextWar is a tower defence clone which boasts some very pretty vector graphics. The kind that glow and say ‘look at me, I’m very pretty’. They’re very nicely polished, and there’s also shader-assisted explosion shockwaves to add some spice to the visual experience. The whole [...]

Looks like Tower Defence is the new Match-3; everyone wants to try and make one. Since the tower defence genre came into being, we’ve had a few decent games and far more uninspired, generic clones. Tower Revolution falls firmly into the second group.
Marvel, at how you can place towers that attack ground units, air units [...]

Oh dear. It’s never good to be presented by a large screen showing you how the game uses almost every button on the controller. Even less so when you find yourself having to refer back to the controller layout screen with only 4 minutes in a trial to test a game. Now, whilst the latter [...]

Hive is a basic RTS where your aim is to destroy the opposing hives using hordes of robotic beetles, whilst harvesting metal to build more.
Using 3 buttons and a targeting reticule (I love that word), spawn beetles to defend, attack or harvest and sit back and watch the game play out. At times the [...]
