My lordy, three recommended titles in one week? Where will this madness end. This is definitely one of those games where I’m really, really glad I looked past the description and the screenshots and took a chance on it all the same. The description is, well, it’s vague. It’s uninspiring and aside from telling you [...]

Loot, Steal & Destroy is simply a slightly renamed re-launch of the pulled game Loot, Steal ‘n Destroy under a different Creators’ Club account, so I’ll simply link you to AnonymousTipster’s review of that game.

Experiment 12 apes the minimalist platformer style of the peculiarly popular Pixel Man and tries mostly unsuccessfully to inject the atmosphere of Portal into it. It doesn’t stay quite as minimal, giving the blocks a hint of depth and adding more gameplay elements than simply jumping, which serves to make it actually fun to play.

My mother used to have a glob of live sourdough culture she called ‘Herman’. She would add flour to it and feed it and it would grow and balloon into something much larger, but it was still just sourdough. Dirge Game Studio’s Herman is like that as well.

Remember PC gaming in 1992? A couple years before DOS extenders, when processors ran at 33MHz and a 16MB HDD was pretty big, just getting a platform game running at all was considered an accomplishment. There were timing oddities and collision errors in games that often had enemies bumbling about outside the range of your [...]

Isn’t this a free in-browser Flash game? Well, yes and no. This version of Fishing Girl is not just a port; it plays rather differently from the original Flash game. So, no more about the Flash version, this is the XBLIG version of Fishing Girl. Fishing Girl is a well-executed, charming and simple game. You [...]

I’ve been waiting weeks for inspiration to strike me for a review of Nasty. Apparently my Muse is on vacation, so I’ll just have to muddle through. Nasty is what would happen if Bill Rizer and Lance Bean fell into the Bubble Bobble universe and landed in a haunted house.

Oh Geometry Wars, what hath thou brought upon this world? Fittest is, surprisingly, a dual analog shooter in the vein of Geometry Wars. You get to move your little yellow ship around and shoot at little red ships, some of which fire back. You also get missiles and a couple of alternate weapons to use.
