The ever awesome Denki have just announced that they’ll be bringing their iPhone piece of retro wonderment, Juggle, across to XBLIG. You can read the full announcement post here.
Now, I’m an unabashed fan of the Denki-way so rather obviously, you can colour me super excited about this but y’know, at the same time quite saddened that folks like Denki (and also Tuna) have little to no place anymore on the big daddy service unless they take the more traditional publisher route. Considering what XBLA started out as to what it’s become, it’s grim stuff. It leaves us no room for the next Space Giraffe to appear, no room for folks like Pom Pom and so on and well, XBLA itself and us gamers are less well served because of these odd decisions at MS HQ.
Today, however, is not for frowning and sad faces though. Instead let us rejoice that we’ll be getting some Denki nice things on XBLIG and we can have some Denki regardless. Everyone should have some Denki.
And I don’t have to buy an iPhone to play Juggle, natch.

Race your rc car against AI opponents armed with an assortment of weapons. Race on one of five detailed courses or create a custom course.
It does a bit, doesn’t it?
Fairly unattractive but playable racer with a custom course feature. I like customising things.
240 pointaroo’s. Which are like points but sort of bouncier.

Spring Up Harmony takes the best of Breakout and Pachinko and spices it up with 2D physics. Launch balls on color-matching items to clear the 30 levels of the game and collect the ten rewards. Use motors, fans, mechanisms, hanging objects and gravity to your advantage to catch the falling objects. Challenge a friend in the multi-player mode, where both players are playing on the same screen.
Let’s come together, right now in spring up harmony. Does that work? Didn’t think it did.
Not entirely convinced of the price tag on this fella, y’know? However, if you’re on the look out for Breakout meets Peggle in slightly not as good looking-o-vision, this is erm, yeah, this is it.

It is a simple ball game. The cursor is set to the place with the ball and the shot button is pushed.
He’s not wrong there. Craggy balls ahoy in this simple ball game where the cursor is set to the place with the ball and the shot button is pushed. Did we mention the cursor is set to the place with the ball and the shot button is pushed? No, well, the cursor is set to the place with the ball and the shot button is pushed.

Test your skills as a space module pilot as you navigate the treacherous terrain of alien landscapes. Two modes allow you to hone your skills in basic play before showing off your abilities in advanced mode. Coordination, finesse and nerves of steel are required to get top score. Do you have what it takes?
No, not press Space. The 360 doesn’t have that button. It’s Lunar Lander, silly.

Ragdoll physics meets classic pinball gameplay in a giant pinball machine where your Avatar is the ball!
Sometimes I wish I was making this stuff up. On the plus side, look! A monkey. Take that, Hello Games.

Wait…what? Hang on a minute. Something is wrong in the land of XBLIG. I think my 360 is more broken than I assumed. This really can’t be right at all. I’ve just loaded up an avatar game and it’s got an actual game in it. Not just hit a button to do something silly or launch it somewhere. A real proper actual game.
Well colour me Shirley, that’s a turn up for the books. I’m going to walk outside to find the sun has burnt up and there’s some sort of zombie apocalypse going down aren’t I?
Seriously, this is all manner of world turned upside down. AvaGlide isn’t just an avatar game with a game in it, it’s an avatar game with a really bloody good game in it. Man, oh man.
