Your mother wants you to get more one-sentence looks at the games released in the past week.

A title menu is NOT a demo, GoVids! 80 Points.

Azubi’s Pool Of Bethesda
Like Battleship, but with cripples instead of torpedoes. 240 Points.

Charlie Cat’s Hot Air Balloon
A simple shooter with digitized cat bits. 80 Points.

Nature photos and sound loops in four categories. 80 Points.

Crazy Coins
Catch coins with two pigs simultaneously. 80 Points.

Dead Meat
I made a game with zombies boring. 80 Points.

A title menu is NOT a demo, G — GoVids, again! 80 Points.

Fishing Girl
Sort of a fishing-based Miner Dig Deep type game. 80 Points.

Graviton AI
A simple shooter, over-engineered. 240 Points.

Hollow Ball
Surprisingly engaging take on Pong, but no computer opponent. 80 Points.

Hypnotizing
A title menu is NOT a d…could someone from Microsoft please ban GoVids? 80 Points.

Johnny’s Skydiving Lessons
Fairly amusing reaction test; a bit thin for a game. 80 Points.

Origin
Aside from the dual-paddle mode, this concept was already taken much farther by SLAM. 400 Points.

Super Gravelyn Bros’ minimalist platformer works well, but does it get interesting after the Trial? 80 Points.

The Wonder Pets’ little-known Death Buggy stars in a button color matching game. 240 Points.

Fast and loose tower defense with god powers and different tower/power sets to choose from. 800 Points.

Somehow both bogus and awesome simultaneously in multiple ways. 80 Points.

Hideous box art hides a well rendered navigation puzzle. 80 Points.

War: The Card Game Advanced
Nice art, good concept, but winds up too button-mashy for me. 80 Points.

I know it was always inevitable that already popular Flash games would start making the move to XNA (and we’ll soon see a flood as the profile of this service rises) but…..the pricing….
240 points for Filler? Really? Tsk tsk
GoVids make me angry.
To quote my review on the Rachel Star Stunt Show:
… GoVids seems to be the epitomy of the Shovelware developer. Take Rachel Star Stunt Show: this appears to be a simple video player with some clips of Rachel Star, a young stunt-girl who looks to be putting a good portfolio for when MTV decides they need a followup to Jackass.
…
There’s another element to this as well: as far as I’m aware, this is the first video player on XBIG. Which means that GoVid should be given at least some credit for introducing something new – unfortunately, it also means that the floodgates have opened and XBIG is likely to be drowned under a wave of cheap and nasty videos.
Oh well.
