
Audiball is a somewhat rhythmic game designed for the guitar controller (but which is thankfully also playable on a regular controller). The idea is that strumming without a fret launches a ball, and strumming with a fret activates a pod of that colour. The balls travel between pods until they reach the goal, meaning you have to fret in the right order to make it to the goal.
If you’re good, you can keep many balls going at the same time, but you may well find this very difficult to achieve (as I did).
The basic principle is the same as Guitar Hero – hit the frets and strum at the right time to pass the level. Audiball goes about this in a different way, but inherently makes it much harder to get a good rhythm going. Guitar Hero allows you to play along to the song, but with Audiball, you must find your own rhythm before the game starts to sound anything like a song.
If you’ve got a guitar controller, this could be an interesting game to try, but don’t expect it to be more enjoyable than Guitar Hero.
Audiball was developed by Indiecisive Games and is available for 200 points.
This title was 200 Points at the time of writing this review but has since been reduced to 80 Points.

Hello, I am one of the programmers that worked on Audiball. Thank you for reviewing it!
I have a few questions: What exactly did you find difficult, was it the layout of the levels, the controls, or something else? Do you feel that your experience would have been improved by a “tutorial” level? Was the progression of difficulty appropriate? Did you experience any technical glitches?
Sorry for all the questions, but I would really appreciate any feedback that we can use to improve this/subsequent games. So any other suggestions for what we can do to improve would be greatly appreciated. Thanks again!
