I thought I’d share three important facts with you:
Bourbon biscuits are crumbly.
Coffee is the sustenance of life.
Double jumping is a key life skill.
Johnny Platform’s Biscuit Romp is a 2D platformer from IshiEiketsu which tasks you with guiding Johnny and his regional accent through 55 levels of platorming puzzles. Along the way, you must collect mugs of coffee to gain extra lives and jump on robot’s heads to open the door to the next level. Sounds simple, doesn’t it?
That’s what makes this game special; it’s very simple on the surface, but much more complex in actuality. All the game’s puzzles take place on one screen, yet can still be really perplexing. The rules of the game are never broken, but approached from a different direction, meaning that once you get onto level 30+, you really need to start thinking before you start pushing blocks around. If you step on that crumbly bourbon, will you be able to make it back up to the goal? If you can go off one side of the screen onto the other, how can you use that to your advantage? If you push that battenbourg into the water, will it help you roll the cookie across?
Johnny Platform has simple, retro graphics and amusing sound effects which nicely tie together a deceptively simple looking game into a great little puzzle-platformer. It was developed by IshiEiketsu and is available for the bargain price of 200 points.
This title was 200 Points at the time of writing this review but has since been reduced to 80 Points.

It’s a great game however there are only 55 levels, not 80. Biscuit Romp has a great difficulty curve, the last couple of levels are pretty hard.
Thanks, I’ve corrected that in the post now.
I was on a fence, to buy it or not. You’ve made me jump (in).
Oh, and by the way…, this is completly off-topic, but still. Shame on “Shoot the Rocks”! It’s a broken game that never should’ve been allowed into Live!
It’s broken!!!!!!
Yeah, I can’t believe how one can screw up an Asteroids clone in such a serious way. But there is already a game with even worse controls, Indirian Solitaire. Feels like a cell phone game gone horribly wrong.
Scarily, I’ve seen and played worse Asteroids clones.
Bobaroids, for example?
A fine example!
my favourite so far.
lol at the lack of Blow.
Is it a joke ? [fixed that for ya -ed.]
Is what a joke?
Great game! Enjoyed it thoroughly.
