Despite poor trial experience (and sub par level of polish), you should definitely give this game another chance with a friend, I had a lot of fun playing local matches of this game.
Nice review! How not to persuade the customer 101.
lmao. Great review.
Having played pretty much every XBCG to date myself, I feel your pain oddbob.
This is one queued-up download I’ll give a miss to though. Thanks.
I can understand the lack of single player. Programmers new to AI programming would find it a time consuming challenge, and so I expect to see a good number of multiplayer only games on XBCG (good acronym fog, there needed to be a short way to refer to Community Games). But at the same time I would expect such games to be a bit cheaper as well.
Multiplayer games with good concepts are always fun. But I would garner that most players trying XBCG games out for the first time don’t have a buddy available at the moment. Live play for the trial would have been a really good idea (would you find anyone online though…heheh).
Still gonna give this game a shot. I always have friends over and 4P XBLA games have gotten as much play as split screen Halo 3. I think the price is high, so it’s gonna have to be reeeal fun for me to buy it.
There’s no excuse really. Not making A.I. was just laziness. Charging 400 points was arrogance.
