Looks like Tower Defence is the new Match-3; everyone wants to try and make one. Since the tower defence genre came into being, we’ve had a few decent games and far more uninspired, generic clones. Tower Revolution falls firmly into the second group.
Marvel, at how you can place towers that attack ground units, air units or even both. Truly, this is a revolution of the Tower Defence genre. Except it’s not. If you’ve ever played a Tower Defence game before, you’ll feel right at home with Tower Revolution, because it’s exactly like all tower defence games ever.
The graphics are decidedly mediocre and the sound effects are limp, with some equally uninteresting music behind them. Technically, the game seems to work fine, with no crushing bugs, and the enemies finding a path through your turrets without problem, allowing you to strategically place turrets to funnel the enemy where you want them.
If you happen to have a burning desire to play another Tower Defence game, then you should probably get your head examined. I’d not recommend buying Tower Revolution.
Tower Revolution was created by Super Mawl and is available for 400 Points.
This title was 400 Points at the time of writing this review but has since been reduced to 240 Points.

Hi.
Everyone is entitled to their opinion, and I’m sorry you didn’t enjoy the game. I hope you won’t take offense if I add a little more information here, because you make no mention of some of the cool parts of the game (or some of the basic ones for that matter).
The tower types available are Air, Ground, Combo (Air and Ground), Magic, and Walls.
Magic towers are cool because they allow you to do things like poison enemies, slow them down, or take away their armor.
Walls are cool because they can absorb damage and are cheap to build and rebuild.
Speaking of absorbing damage, I’ll mention the Aggro enemies. These enemies actually fire back at towers that get in their way. Players have to destroy them quickly, or be prepared to repair their towers before they are destroyed.
I won’t entirely consume your “review” page, so I’ll stop there.
Thanks for playing the demo. If you get a chance to try the actual game, please let me know what you think.
That’s fair enough. Although I liked how you could funnel enemies using walls, there weren’t any real innovations here.
Tower Revolution works perfectly well as a Tower Defence game, but seeing as there so many out there already, a new entry into the genre really needs it’s own new feature to draw people in.
I’m alarmed and mystified that someone wouldn’t fall in love with Tower Revolution, honestly. It has been keeping me up at night, filling daydreams with methods of laying out mazes for “creeps” to walk through. It is not only my favorite Community Game by far, but one of the most enjoyable games I’ve played in at least six months. Super Mawl – please take heart and make more games! The only flaw I came across was a bug at the end of level 6, the “strong” enemies don’t appear. Tower Revolution gets high marks from me!
I know this game looks bad, and I know I could have bought an add-on for a “better” game… That didn’t stop me from getting this game! I never played any other Tower Defence games (That I remember) Maybe thats why I got addicted to this. I’ll be darned if I can get past Level 8 though! And by the way – I also had the “strong” enemies glitch out on a level… Could have been Level 6.
