Plasma Spheres is a platform puzzler whereby you take control of a sphere and negotiate a series of different hazards to rescue other spheres utilising different abilities along the way. There’s a lot of creativity on show (and a lot of the controller buttons used too – d’oh!) and the series of abilities are wide ranging enough to provide a variety of different puzzle scenarios.
The game, however, feels a lot more like an incomplete prototype than a fully fleshed out concept. Generally poor graphics and a sluggish pace courtesy of the physics engine let the side down. One we’d like to see expanded and tidied up a tad before we could recommend. There’s definite potential for something good here.
Plasma Spheres is 400 points and was developed by abnormalsoft.

Beat me by *that* much, Oddbob.
I’ll agree with the lackluster graphics and anemic pacing. Also the controls are a bit complex to wrangle initially.
However, it seemed to be pretty well fleshed out to me. And the multiplayer -sounds- well designed, though I haven’t played it.
Physics gubbins have never been among my preferred genres, though, so I may just be assuming the complexity and pace come with the territory.
