Hive is a basic RTS where your aim is to destroy the opposing hives using hordes of robotic beetles, whilst harvesting metal to build more.
Using 3 buttons and a targeting reticule (I love that word), spawn beetles to defend, attack or harvest and sit back and watch the game play out. At times the pathfinding seems a little wonky and we had a few moments of our beetles getting into headbanging competitions with each other, but otherwise it’s a reasonably solid if a tad bland game.
Hive is 200 points and was created by Handkor.
This title was 200 Points at the time of writing this review but has since been reduced to 80 Points.
