Literal and uninspired title aside, Easy Golf is a rather sweet looking golf game which harks back to a time when Leaderboard was the king of all Golf games.
Rather obviously though, the blocky and disturbingly off coloured greens of the C64 palette have been replaced with a shinier hi definition look with a fair smattering of bloom. As well as a suitably large amount of ready created courses, the game ships with a course editor providing a lot of potential for infinite replayability.
As with most golf games it’ll likely only truly come alive in multiplayer when you can rib your friends about their ball going for a short swimming lesson.
At 800 points it’s one of the pricier selections from the community games, but if you’re looking for a cheap, fully featured and highly polished golf game you can’t go far wrong.

I bought Easy Golf after recommendations from a friend and cannot put into words how good this game is. The course editor is second to none, after sales support is the best I’ve seen – with new improvements and tweaks coming from the creator, Barkers Crest, on a regular basis. A new function getting released with the new update is the ability to download your friends courses which makes this community game exactly that! The 800 points seems expensive at first glance but the depth and subsequent replayability of this game makes it a bargain, forget Tee It Up, this is the definitive arcadey golf game on the 360.

Just a wee update guys, Barkers Crest has done an update on the game, you now get online stat tracking, about 5 courses or so straight out of the non-box and amongst the new accessories and general tweaks etc is the greatest improvement of all – 8 player online!!!! From a community game? By one man? Unreal, the developer is a legend already. If you’ve not bought the game SERIOUSLY go download it and enjoy – also check out the official web page for information on a new competition running until the end of March if I remember correctly
Great game but…
I have one issue with this game: It is too bloody addictive!
I have spent countless hours in this game, once you start making course, you can’t stop. I am currently up to 7 courses, and don’t want to stop.
Many golf game are fun for a while, but get boring. Why do they get boring? You get bored of the courses. Easy Golf has unlimited courses, and the Course creator is a very very powerful tool.
This game is easliy worth the points, and I would say this game is easliy the best 800 points I have ever spent on xbox live. (Owned an xbox 360 within the first 6 months of release)
If you are struggling whether or not to buy this game, take the plunge you won’t regret it.

I am a XBLA junkie and i’ve been playing many of the community demos with an ocasional purchase here and there. I must admit, i wasnt too impressed with the Easy Golf Demo but I had the itch for some old school golfing fun so i purchased it.
BEST PURCHASING DECISION I EVER MADE ON XBOX MARKETPLACE!!!
The demo just doesnt do this game justice because the real fun is in the course editing and then taking your courses online against friends. You can’t get this experience in the demo. As far as a fun factor goes, I’d put this game up against just about any downloadable game in Community Games or XBLA.
To the developer… Great Job! Please keep up the great work.

My second best community game after CarneyVale: Showtime.
Easy Golf is an absolute stunning and worthwhile Community game to invest in. It shouldn’t be missed by any fans of the genre, especially ones who are into the more unrealistic and approuchable types such as Minna No Golf & Mario Golf games.
The developers of Easy Golf have released their final update to the game, but what they don’t seem to understand is that if an awesome game is enough to be a great choice for it’s genre, it would be best to continue working on the project in order to make it bigger and better then ever.
This is a messege to the developer/s:-
Please continue to add more and more stuff to this great game.
I said something simular over at CarneyVale: Showtime page too about updating your games that just so happen to be great. I also submitted some short ideas to them, so here is some for you guys:-
1.) I would really like you guys to go that extra mile in the fun unrealistic approuch and add some cool weapons to the game, for some distruptive multiplayer.
2.) How about extending your game to Mini-Golf as well. It can’t be that hard right?… I don’t care if it takes ages to make, I would deffinately be all over it.
3.) Take a note from Minna No Golf… Not only include custom clothing, but how about some new characters (not just the robot). Even a ‘create a character’ option would be good.
Sorry if these idea’s are too far fetched but like I said, when a game has potential to be good (or should I say, the best at what it could achive if done right), then the developers should aim to reach those tasks. Even if it’s just an indie developed game.
